For many years, in various settings, I have had the opportunity of working with children and adults, providing individual, couple, family, and group counseling. I have worked with clients affected by emotional distress, stemming from abuse and neglect, depression, anxiety, marital problems, grief, nuerodiversity, and issues surrounding gender identity, sexual orientation, polyamory, and health status, among other things.
Every individual has their own journey through life. My job is not to "diagnose" or "fix". It is the strength inherent in the individual that does the hard work of creating personal change. My role is to provide a safe space to support that work through honesty, compassion and unconditional positive regard.
I am reminded daily of how lucky I am to be in the position to experience a part of the human journey through the people I encounter in my practice.
