About Me

Since 1999, I have had opportunities to working with children and adults, providing individual, couple, family, and group counseling. I have worked with clients affected by emotional distress, stemming from abuse and neglect, depression, anxiety, marital problems, grief, nuerodiversity, and issues surrounding gender identity, sexual orientation, polyamory, and health status concerns, among other things.

I am aware that my job is not to "diagnose" a person, or to "fix" anything.  It is the strength inherent in the individual that does the hard work of creating personal change. Organisms have an organic wisdom that tells them how to heal. Learning to listen to that wisdom is more than half the journey. A huge part of my work is cultivating an awareness of what your body is trying to tell you.

To do that, I work to provide a safe space, through honesty, compassion and unconditional positive regard.  In that space we can explore and your experiences, and create opportunities to experiment with new ways to interface with elements of your world, stimulating growth and change. Therapy is a dynamic, engaging, relational experience, that sparks changes within you that continue to facilitate growth long after you leave the therapeutic experience.
